The Faculty Development Task Force works to enhance the
professional development of our membership. Workshop
planning, mentoring, development of community faculty,
educator portfolio, and management of the faculty development
resource component of the website are the primary areas of
involvement. The current co-Chairs of the faculty development
task force are Jenny
Christner and Steve Tinguely.

Teachers Traveling to Teach Teachers Project
The faculty development task force is compiling a list of speakers and topics also known as the T4
Project (Teachers Traveling to Teach Teachers). Many of our individual
institutions have faculty development lectures, but it would be helpful to
have a list of COMSEP members who are willing to travel to other
institutions to give their workshops/lectures as guest speakers. This can
include faculty development workshops or lectures that have been presented
in the past at COMSEP meetings, PAS meetings, or even at individual
institutions. This is a resource that will be posted on the COMSEP website.
One of the areas of concern is cost to the hosting institution. We thought
a creative idea to circumvent some of the costs would be that if there was
a grand rounds topic that the T4 representative was also willing to give,
then cost of having the T4 at the host institution would already be covered
for grand rounds, and the T4 could stay and also give a faculty development
workshop. However, a grand rounds topic is optional.
On the following hyperlinks you will find the form for adding your information to our
database and also the existing COMSEP members that have added their
information.
